You can play a shoestring if you're sincere.

I haven’t had much of a chance to visit LJ the last month. Lot’s of things came up to take precedence over my little window of escape from real life.

For starters, I had an aunt (June) pass away a few weeks ago, so I have been back to Kentucky several times this month for her as well as Thanksgiving, which was a bit bitter sweet, as you can imagine. My mother’s family has a big to-do each Thanksgiving and we have been having it at June’s for as long as I can remember, and I mean that literally. I truly have no memories of Thanksgiving with my family that aren’t at June’s. Her daughter is continuing the tradition. We all met at her house this year and it was a true turn of the page in the book of life.

June was like my second Mom.

Anyway, I really don’t want to depress anyone, but this has been a big reason why I haven’t been on my LJ for more than 5 minutes once or twice all month. This and school has been heavy on homework lately. I had to do two full blow research papers this month while everything else was going on. It Sucked.

I don’t know when things will lighten up, so please forgive me for not writing and commenting on your entries. I am not even sure I will get a chance to catch back up on the back log of reading.

If I don’t get a chance, I want to wish you all a great holiday season and I encourage all of you to give everyone in your family a big hug. You never know if it might be your last chance.
